Our sustainability ranking has improved continuously in recent years.
Targeted measures and investments have enabled us to significantly improve our environmental and social performance.
We are proud that our efforts are bearing fruit and that we are making our contribution to a more sustainable future. But we are not resting on our laurels – we are constantly striving to pursue our sustainability goals and continuously improve.

What is EcoVadis?
Since its founding in 2007, EcoVadis has become the world’s largest and most trusted provider of corporate sustainability ratings, creating a global network of more than 90,000 rated companies.
The methodology is based on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, ISO 26000, and covers 200 spending categories and over 160 countries. The scorecard illustrates performance based on 21 indicators in the four thematic areas:

At Heuchemer Verpackung, we attach great importance to the responsible use of energy. By taking long-term measures to reduce our energy consumption and use it sparingly, we are actively committed to a sustainable future. In order to implement these principles, we have established an energy management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001.
Through regular monitoring, evaluation and continuous improvement, we ensure that we achieve our operational and strategic energy targets. In doing so, we always strive to use the latest information and appropriate means to increase our energy efficiency.
Our environment is important to us, which is why we are actively committed to protecting and preserving natural resources. With our energy management, we are helping to minimize our ecological footprint and shape a sustainable future.
Our specially established “EcoVadis team” not only deals with environmental issues, but also with measures to improve occupational safety and ergonomics. The focus here is on protecting the health of our employees, for example through the use of ergonomic machines and work equipment.
