Task definition
The task was to design a semi-automatic tray for highly finished decorative trims. The aim was to achieve the highest possible level of safety for the product to be packaged so that it would not be damaged during the subsequent process at the customer’s premises.

Packaging development
The detailed requirements for the tray were agreed with the customer.
The design department then created a 3D model based on the technical drawings produced by Heuchemer Verpackung, which enabled a 360° view of the planned tray in advance.

Implementation / processing
After sampling and approval of the prototype, the series tool was produced by Heuchemer Verpackung’s in-house toolmaking department so that initial samples of the new tray could be delivered to the customer after a short time. The next step was to test the new tray in the customer’s process flow.

After extensive testing, the initial samples were approved by the customer and the newly developed trays were successfully integrated into the customer’s process flow.

Task definition
The task was to develop a load carrier to carry a 1,6 t heavy trench roller in order to ship them both safely and cost-effectively.
The pallet should not only improve the packaging sub-process, but also be functional for everyone involved in the logistics chain.

Packaging development
In order to be suitable for all requirements of the transportation chain (land, water, air), complete documentation and a calculation with a maximum force effect of 4 g be created. Here we have not only calculated these from the point of view of load securing, but also illuminated and ensured the 4-way capability under the most adverse conditions.

Implementation / processing
We draw on our many years of experience and in-depth knowledge during development and processing. Drilled and milled holes allow belts to pass through and product protection to improve load securing. Wash - Care - Clean
The consumer goods industry faces special challenges. The packaging must be absolutely trouble-free on the machine and present your product optimally on the store shelf. That’s why we focus on the production of technically high-quality packaging with perfect flatness and print your cardboard packaging with up to seven colors and varnishes for a lasting impression on the customer.

Task
The aim of the task was to design packaging made of corrugated cardboard that was both safe and could be presented in a sales-promoting manner. Furthermore, the packaging had to be automatically fillable and erectable, as it had to be smoothly integrated into the customer’s packaging process.
In addition, the packaging should be easy to open using perforations.

Packaging development
Together with the customer, Heuchemer Verpackung’s in-house packaging development team created a plotter sample and a 3D model of the new carton. The print image specified by the customer was already integrated into the 3D model so that the most accurate possible idea of the end product was obtained in advance.
In order to guarantee the required quality of the cardboard, the results of a stacking compression test (BCT) were used in addition to empirical values.

Implementation / processing
The die-cut packaging was produced after customer approval in Heuchemer Verpackung’s air-conditioned processing center at the Miehlen plant. The 3-color printing was carried out by a modern BOBST MASTERLINE 1700. The high requirement for extremely precise flatness, which is essential for automatic cartons, was achieved by means of automatic palletizing and precise process monitoring.

Customer use
After just-in-time delivery, the carton goes onto the customer’s line and is automatically filled with the product. Precise flatness is extremely important here to ensure stopper-free machine operation. We have taken professional measures to prevent the corrugated cardboard from bending and to ensure error-free machine operation.
